There is nothing like the chill of winter to send me to my summer photo gallery of flowers in bloom. Are you thinking about adding some native plants to your yard? Or edible landscaping? Wondering where to start? Interested in helping others and learning more about creating healthy habitat?
|
Journeywork is building a community to get plants in the ground, and we would love to meet you, hear your thoughts, and answer questions.
|
We are happy to offer two winter Q&A sessions on Zoom on Wednesday, February 15 and Wednesday, March 15 at 7:30. Just email me at paige@journeywork.org for the link.

Doug Tallamy lays out all the ecological reasons to reduce lawns and increase biodiversity in his bestseller Nature's Best Hope. Lawns into Meadows by Owen Wormser breaks down meadow installation into very approachable steps. In Planting in a Post-Wild World, Thomas Rainer and Claudia West zoom out to give design guidance across a variety of landscapes, and their photos capture the gorgeous potential of ecological design. Claudia West is going to be speaking on Thursday, February 9 at 7:00 as part of the Schuylkill Center's Thursday Night Live online series, details here.

If you want help with any of your design or installation ideas, let us know! If you have a book to recommend, you can let us know that too!
