Dear there,

A note from our board chair, Jenny:
I just finished one of the best books I read this whole year, Bird School by British naturalist Adam Nicolson. In stunningly beautiful prose, he recounts close observations of the birds that inhabit or visit his property in southeast England. It ends with a sweeping vision of replanting to restore habitat:
Diversify, enrich, multiply, protect. Find insect-friendly plants and the birds would devour them.
What could be more promising than all of this, a more-than-lifelong project, stretching far beyond our own existence, to re-acquire the culture of co-habitation we once had, to make a mended and self-mending fragment of the world? Nothing seems more obvious. All of it led by the birds and all leading to the birds.

Whether led by birds or just eager to cross "lawn care" off the to-do list, every Journeywork homeowner and volunteer putting pollinator-friendly plants in the ground this year was doing this kind of mending. One yard at a time (or many at once during Pollinator Palooza!) we diversify, enrich, multiply, and protect; in this season, we grow the funds we need to further that work, one $40 (or more!) donation at a time. If you have been meaning to contribute but haven't yet, please support Journeywork today.

We are so grateful for every donation we receive, and we are heartened by those who have become members and given memberships as gifts. We only need $2,031 to reach our goal!

Your gift in any amount will help us fight climate change locally--positively and joyfully!

Journeywork is a 501c3 organization, and all donations are tax-deductible. If your employer has a match program, your gift can make twice the impact!

Thank you for being part of the Journeywork community!
Happy bloom-filled 2026!
Paige
