John Cardina

John grew up in Ohio in the watershed of the Cuyahoga River, where he hiked its tributaries and watched urban encroachment reduce its quality. He conducted research on plant ecology in Georgia and Ohio, and is the author of Lives of Weeds: Opportunism, resistance, folly, published by Cornell University Press. He is enthusiastic about Journeywork’s potential to combine environmental science with citizen engagement.
